Found this site with cute little phrases 3minutes Japanese for Survival! Very simple but if you are just starting out to learn Japanese it might be useful for you.

This is a blog I set up just after we moved from Osaka to Tokyo. I only wrote a couple of entries here and have since set up another couple of blogs.

My main blog is at www.blizzardboy.net. It is called Psymeg: Life in Japan and covers pretty much what the name says it does!

I also have a blog at www.oursilkroad.com. We lived in Korla, which is a city in the westernmost province of China - the Uighur Semi-Autonomous Region of Xinjiang. From there we travelled to Kyrgyzstan - and the blog on www.oursilkroad.com covers events in Xinjiang and the wider Central Asia region. You can read the blog here.

As blogger posts cant be read in China I wont be posting here in the near future.

Well, today was the second day of our neighborhood festival.

last night was the business peoples party, with a beer garden and karaoke.

arrived late having taught a class near the Tokyo stock exchange. met up with a friend who, having broken up with her boyfriend is looking for someone to share a place with. another friend is also looking for a place to live as the guy he is living with is moving to bangkok, and he holds the lease. phone calls were made and they will meet next Tuesday, not really nz style, but hopefully they can get it together.

after that, went over to the festival, our landlord is the head of the local neighborhood group and as such, is responsible for organising the festival – the 998th time!

he gave me half a dozen beer tickets, which were a welcome present. met a deaf guy and practiced the little japanese sign language i know. we managed somehow to communicate!

our not so philipino friend sang wonderfully. i didn't get my shit together to sing, which is probably a good thing as there were children present!

then we went back to the tachinomi for a few drinks, and when that closed we went next door to our house to carry on. almost a very messy evening!

Saturday, woke up late and spent the day on a presentation for ernst and young on Thursday. finished! then back for day two of the festival. today was family day, with games, food, and a prize draw. we won a case of Chinese noodles, and a strange lighted miniature japanese garden. the noodles will be a great present for our friend in china we are visiting next week.

another crazy party last weekend!

DatMafia @ Cube

it rocked, one of those it only happens once a year parties that dat always seem to get together!

semimaru (takeshi) opened. we missed about half of his set coz, we waz hanging out with the kids at home and by the time we had walked there.... takeshi is still developing his style, coming along nicely, still needs to work on reading the crowd.

then rush-man (kentaro)(don't know his dj name) played. first half was a little weak but he built from there and had all the crazy kids wibbling around the floor like primary kids on too much weetbix.

then came the legendary sharaku who completely blew blisters off the wall of that 7th floor joint! i only recognised 2 tracks from last time he played so he must have been busy at his yamanashi hideaway downloading some cool tunes from timo and crew in Finland as well as putting fruity loops to gooooood effect!

i was a nutcase,LOL, all over the floor! hopefully fotos and maybe video will be up soon on www.globaldatmafia.org

ecc's decorations were great. though eventually destructive! very PoMo!

next party is october 11-12-13 in yamanashi, nice little forest space replete with jomonji house!
well another night almost over,

ready to sleep with a little help from THC

the artist... THC Koitin!
